I owed a payday loan in kentucky. I have a court date this week 9-19-08 in small claims court. They cashed my check 9-12-08 . My funds was there so they got their money. My question is.... Is it legal for them to cash my check when they already had a court date ?

yes of course sonic payday loan bring it up in court and bring proof they've recieved payment, and it can be relevant there.
a check is an agreement that upon proof of identinty the money you designated for the party will be recieved.
but of course its legal for them to cash the check you gave them.

it is like legal loan-sharking. it just sickened me to see the interest that they charged people. i truly thought the government would have stepped in and shut these places down years ago. make sure you show up to court with the proof this has been paid sonic payday loan i worked for one of these places for a few weeks (took the job to help out a friend who was a manager there). you had a payday loan--the place will get the funds whenever there is enough money in your account to cash the check--court date or not.
